When you think of Ferrari, the mind automatically wanders off into a world full of red color, fast cars, and everything exotic, but never a scooter. After all, scooters are (mostly) just simple machines meant to take you from point A to B in utilitarian comfort, quite contrary to any vehicle by the Italian brand. But this perception is being challenged with a one-of-a-kind Scuderia Ferrari scooter that is like nothing else on the road.
The Scuderia Ferrari Scooter Is Built Around A Yamaha NMax 155
Before the Italian automaker chastises us for calling this a Ferrari scooter, allow us to clear the air. The Scuderia Ferrari scooter you see here is essentially a Yamaha NMax 155 wrapped in a unique body kit offered by Yamaha SBW. The body kit takes inspiration from Ferrari’s F1 race car and flaunts an impressive red/black livery contrasted by the prancing horse all around.

Up top, the scooter features a Predator-like (the movie, that is) headlight cover partnered with chunky side panels, a muscular front fender, and, dare I say, Ferrari-like mirrors. Interestingly, the side panels also boast aerodynamic cutouts near the scooter’s broad footrests, which amplifies the overall attention to detail.
A similar treatment follows at the opposite end, with beefy panels and an overstated red exhaust cover. Bringing all this Ferrari-inspired styling together is a cushioned backrest for the pillion and a smoked visor up top.
The Ferrari Scooter Is Just A Skin Deep Job

The scooter is essentially a Yamaha NMax 155 with a stylish Ferrari body kit
Apart from the bodywork, the Yamaha NMax 155 remains as it is. It employs a 155cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 15.1 horsepower transmitted to the wheel via an automatic gearbox. Yamaha has equipped the maxi-styled scooter with truckloads of features comprising traction control, LED illumination, keyless ignition, a start-stop system, a charging port, and an LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity.
The entire package rolls on 13-inch alloy wheels clamped by hydraulic disc brakes at both ends and tips the scale at 288 pounds. Couple this with its 765mm seat height, and the NMax is perfect for city commutes. Sadly, though, Yamaha hasn’t launched the NMax 155 in the States, even though it has abundant potential to do well, especially at a sub-$4000 price tag. In case you do want a scooter from Team Blue, we suggest you check out the 300cc Yamaha XMax.
